At AbbaCare, we strive to reflect the love of Christ by offering compassionate support and care to every individual who walks through our doors. We hold fast to the truth of John 10:28: “I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.”
Inspired by this promise, we are committed to cherishing every life and providing truth, hope, and encouragement to the women and families we serve. We remind each one that their life is truly
“Held in His hands.”
About the Speaker: Kirk Walden
Kirk Walden
A night with Kirk Walden is an evening filled with humor, challenge, vision and hope.
Kirk’s journey into pregnancy help ministry—where he has served for more than 30 years—leads through life as a sportswriter, professional golfer, and even nine years as a single dad.
Kirk is co-author of the book, Saving Samaria. Writing alongside his wife Jenn, they explore how Jesus took on the most divisive issue of his day, leveraging this controversy to win the hearts of Samaritans. And in the process, Jesus planted seeds for expanding his coming church. Jesus’ ingenious strategies are just what we need to win back lost ground in our culture today.
When you hear Kirk, be prepared for a surprising view on the true impact of pregnancy help ministries across the country. As our ministry and others like ours step into the stories of those who come in our door, we quietly shift our culture toward life. Kirk shows us exactly how our powerful movement gains ground each day, and how you play a key role.
Kirk and his wife Jennifer live just outside of Nashville, TN. They have five children, ranging in age from 36 to 16.

About the Evening: FAQ's
WHAT IS A TABLE HOST?
A table host is a current or new supporter of AbbaCare that has taken the responsibility of filling their table with new and future supporters of AbbaCare.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE FALL FUNDRAISING DINNERS?
At the Fall Fundraising Dinners, the evening starts out with dinner (see below), we will have a guest speaker (see above), as well as a message from our Executive Director, Chris Oesterblad, and some other guest speakers along the way. It is an opportunity to learn about the year AbbaCare has had, hear what we have planned for the next, as well as be invited to become a financial partner.
WHAT WILL THE MEAL BE?
Do be determined
WHY ARE THERE TWO?
As you may or may not know, we opened AbbaCare's second location in Martinsburg, WV in 2020 and our support in that area has grown! Because of that blessing, we want to make sure everyone has the chance to celebrate the work that God is doing, so we host the dinner in both places.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Wear what makes you feel comfortable! There are no guidelines, but you will find that most guests wear their "Sunday best." If you want to take advantage of the evening and dress up on your night out-we would love that!
WHEN DO DOORS OPEN?
For both locations, doors open at 6:00 PM.
ARE KIDS ALLOWED?
Unfortunately, we are not inviting children to this event. We have limited space at each location and want to be mindful of filling the seats with current and potential partners of AbbaCare.
HOW DO I RSVP?
If you were invited by a Table Host, please let them know if you are able or unable to attend, so they may fill their table accordingly.
If you were not invited by a Table Host, but would like to attend, you can register for the Virginia Fall Fundraising Dinner here or the West Virginia Dinner here.
